Mental Health and Well Being

Well being

These web pages have been designed to give you “food for thought” if you are looking for ideas to promote your well being or you want to explore further links to support your mental health.

Well being, mental health, emotional health, feelings, a sense of balance, happiness, equilibrium are all ways that help us to identify with that crucial part of our health but which in reality can be hard to express and talk about, especially when life just doesn’t feel right or there are too many negative challenges.

Just like our physical health, mental health is just as important, in fact some people would strongly suggest it is more important than physical health, because without mental health and well being we cannot enjoy and get the most out of life.

That is why so much emphasis is being given to mental health in general and emotional well being in particular. Yes the emotional climate is changing, to one where it is possible to talk about how we are feeling and expect understanding and empathy in return and that if and when we ask for help, support and advice is readily available.

The following web pages provide ideas on how to look after your mental health and where to get additional help when things start to go wrong or the going gets tough.

Your comments, feed back and ideas on how to improve or simply add to these pages is very welcome.
