Overview of the Department
As part of the Public Health and Health Strategy Division, the department provides information, public health intelligence and information management services for Western Isles NHS Board in order to support the Board in its public health surveillance and strategic planning role for healthcare provision to the resident population of the Western Isles. Additionally, the department provides an information and analysis service to the operational divisions of the organisation including the Hospital Services and Community Services divisions.
