Intensive Treatment

Intensive treatment clinics are clinics where a short term course of treatment is discussed, agreed and delivered to address a specific foot or gait problem. If agreed patients are expected to follow footwear and foot care advice – non compliance can result in discharge. This intensive treatment is mainly delivered by the same Podiatrist ensuring continuity of care and the aim is to improve the condition to a level where the patient can self manage thus improving independence and reduce the need for Podiatric intervention.

Treatment lengths can vary for each individual condition. Short intense treatment programs have been successful in improving individual’s symptoms and conditions.
