Army Medical Services Reserves

 

In partnership with NHS Western Isles, the Reserve Army Medical Services (AMS) recently held an information stand/display within Western Isles Hospital during 22nd-24th May 2017 for both staff and general public.

The Reserve AMS unit are capable for deploying anywhere in the world to provide medical support and is a proven way to extend existing skills and experience both within existing specialities and beyond.

Whether that support is during war fighting, counter insurgency, peacemaking or during peacekeeping operations, the Reserve AMS will be there to maintain soldiers' health and provide medical care to the sick and injured.The unit, which offers the best of both worlds to people who want to experience Army life but are unable to make a full time commitment, features a wide variety of skilled medical staff including Consultants, doctors, dentists, nurses, paramedics, pharmacists, physiotherapists, radiographers and health care sssistants.
