Smoking
Prevention Peer Education Project

The Lewis and
Harris and Uist and Barra Pests (Peer Educators, Skilled
Trainers) are a group of young people trained as peer educators
that work across the islands delivering sessions in Schools
and Youth Settings on the risks of Smoking.

Competition
for Under
12's - Fas Fallain Friends
|
A competition
aimed at under 12's has been launched to create the next
'Fas Fallain Friend'. Posters have already been distributed
to schools and there are prizes for the top 3 winning entries.
To enter simply
draw a picture of your favourite fruit or vegetable, and
explain why you have chosen it in no more than 30 words.

Seedsticks
- Fas
Fallain Friends
|
The 'Fas Fallain
Friends' series has recently been launched in Bernera School
and Stornoway Primary. The seedsticks have been created
to encourage children and young people to make growing fruit
and vegetables a more fun and enjoyable experience.
The seedsticks;
'Coinneach the Carrot', 'Lachie the Lettuce', 'Tormod the
Tomato', Seonaid the Strawberry and Main Mint, have recently
been launched and further 'Fas Fallain Friends' are planned.
