Youth Participation in Planning and Delivery of Health and Social Care Services
The Scottish Health Council has commissioned a scoping exercise of the rationale, appeal and feasibility for the establishment of a pan-Scotland collaborative approach to youth participation in the planning and delivery of responsive health and social care services.
Through desk based research and stakeholder engagement - which will include engagement with young people and agencies / organisations working with and for them - the scoping work will:
Map existing structures for young people's participation in planning and delivery of health and social care services in Scotland
Evidence whether there is a perceived 'gap' in engaging young people in the planning and delivery of these services.
Identify the most appropriate structure for engagement in the planning and delivery of health and social care services.
Consider opportunities for adding value and strengthening existing structures for hearing and acting on the voices of young people.
Assess the appeal, feasibility and viability of a pan-Scotland collaborative approach to young people's participation in the planning and delivery of health and social care services.
Staff are asked to support this important exercise, the findings from which will help inform the development of the "Our Voice" vision for young people across Scotland. Further information can be found here .
