Want to make a difference to the NHS in your local community?

The NHS impacts on everyone’s lives at one time or another. When a Board Non-Executive vacancy arises, this may be your chance to get involved in improving, sustaining and protecting the health of the local population.

Western Isles NHS Board is currently looking for two new members to join its Board. For one of these posts, we are looking for a Whistleblowing Champion, who can provide assurance against the national Whistleblowing Standards. Applications are invited from people who have an interest in public service and are committed to the NHS in Scotland.

What’s involved?

The role of a Board Non-Executive is challenging, rewarding and offer worthwhile opportunities that will take up around 8 hours a week and last for up to 4 years in the first instance, with a remuneration of £14,352 a year. The postholder will also receive reasonable travel and subsistence costs, dependent carer expenses and support to help them carry out their duties.
