Our Services: Radiology Department

Western Isles Hospital and Ospadal Uibhist agus Bharraigh both provide Radiology services for the Outer Hebrides.

Western Isles Hospital

Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway offers diagnostic facilities for Emergency Department, Inpatient, Outpatient and GP patients.

We provides a 24-hour service; Out-of-Hours emergency cover is provided over weekends, with Public Holidays and weekday evenings provided from 5.30pm for the Emergency Department and inpatients.

Ospadal Uibhist agus Bharraigh

Ospadal Uibhist agus Bharraigh in Benbecula offers diagnostic facilities for Emergency Department, Inpatient, Outpatient and GP patients.

We are staffed by one Radiographer, with visiting Sonographers providing Ultrasound Services.  

Ospadal Uibhist agus Bharraigh Radiology provides a limited Out-Of-Hours emergency service covering X-ray, imaging for the Emergency Department and inpatients each day.
