Christmas Eve baby and a marriage proposal in Maternity this Christmas!

It was a first in the Maternity Ward in Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway, when a Christmas Eve baby was followed by a very special marriage proposal for the new mum!

Christmas Eve baby, Leo, was born at 10pm (6lb 1oz) to delighted parents, Annice Macleod and Connor Maciver from Stornoway.

And baby Leo had a very important job on Christmas Day: to help his daddy propose to his mummy!
So double celebrations in the Maternity Ward, much excitement and a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas.

Annice and Connor are pictured shortly after getting engaged, with their beautiful bundle of joy, Leo (zoom in to wee Leo's vest, which says ‘Mummy will you marry Daddy?')
