COVID Test Booking & Patient Travel Festive opening arrangements

There will be changes to some NHS Western Isles opening arrangements over the Festive Period and our communities are asked to note these.  

COVID TESTING 

In terms of COVID testing, the testing service will run every day over the Festive Season.  

From 20^th to 23^rd December, the testing service will operate between 8am and 9pm. On Christmas Eve, the service will be open from 8am until 4pm.  

On Christmas Day and Boxing Day, the service will be open from 10am until 4pm.  

From 27^th until 30^th December, the service will be open as normal from 8am until 9pm.  

On New Year’s Eve, the COVID testing service will be open from 8am until 4pm, and on 1^st and 2^nd January 2022, there will be a reduced hours from 10am to 4pm.  

The service will resume as normal from 3^rd January 2022 (8am – 9pm). 

Our Laboratory will be open throughout the Festive Season for COVID testing.

PATIENT TRAVEL 

The Patient Travel Office remains closed to the public for bookings in person and patients should arrange their travel via telephone or email.

The Patient Travel Office will close early on Christmas Eve (9am – 2pm) and will be closed on 27^th, 28^th December and 3^rd and 4^th January.  

The service will open between the public holidays as follows: 

Wednesday 29th December 2021 9.00am – 1.00pm / 2.00pm – 3.00pm  

Thursday 30th December 2021     9.00am – 1.00pm / 2.00pm – 3.00pm  

Friday 31st December 2021           9.00am – 2.00pm
