Get info and updates from NHS Western Isles on Instagram!

NHS Western Isles has started sharing news, information and updates on Instagram to help ensure our communities can easily access relevant information. 

Daily updates will be posted on the ‘NHS Western Isles’ page, which is open to anyone who would like to follow the account.  

Those who follow our page are also welcome to message us through Instagram with any suggestions or feedback on types of updates and information they would like to see shared on the page. 

NHS Western Isles Head of Communications, Claims and Patient Information, Maggie Jamieson, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer updates through this additional social media platform. Instagram continues to grow as one of the most popular social media platforms and it is widely used in particular by those aged between 18 and 34. By providing updates through Instagram, we hope to be able to ensure local health-related information is more easily accessible to a wide range of individuals across our communities. We’d invite those with an Instagram account to follow the page and we would welcome any feedback on what type of information you’d like to see shared through this platform.”
