Local libraries help promote Warm Hubs

NHS Western Isles' Public Health team is delighted to promote the Stornoway Public Library as one of the Outer Hebrides Warm Hubs, which encourage people to come together by offering a free, friendly, warm space and enjoy a hot drink, friendly conversation, and companionship.

The Warm Hub campaign, which launched on 5th January, offers a wide range of venues which are located throughout Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra. This includes community centres, libraries, churches and other suitable local venues. These ‘hubs’ are open to everyone, young and old, who can benefit from a warm, comfortable place to spend a few hours catching up with neighbours or friends, or just to pop in to read a newspaper or book.

Whether you’re looking to connect with others, enjoy a hot drink, or participate in fun activities, these spaces are here to support you. Make the most of these opportunities to stay warm, make friends, and enjoy the vibrant community life this winter.
