NHS staff thank Men’s Cancer Support Group for donation

Staff in Medical Ward 1 in Western Isles Hospital were recently delighted to receive a donation of six televisions to the ward from the Hebridean Men’s Cancer Support Group. The televisions are located in the side rooms and patients are already making use of them.

The televisions are wide screen and replace the smaller sets which were in the ward previously.

The Hebridean Men’s Cancer Support Group was set up for men who have been affected by cancer. There are now over 80 members of the group and over 40 members attend every Friday from 2pm to 4pm at the Failte Centre in Bayhead, Stornoway. All men who are or have been affected by cancer are welcome; no invitation needed.
