Seven Day Working for Diabetes Nursing Service​

The Diabetes Nursing Service will be providing a seven day service – 10am to 4pm – for telephone, VC & email advice from April 6, until further notice.

The new seven day service is for patients and their carers, as well as colleagues in primary, secondary care, nursing and residential homes.

Lead Diabetes Service Nurse, Jane Gillion, stated that as well as providing advice on diabetes management, her team want to provide support in these unprecedented times.

The Diabetes Service rota will be held by Western Isles Hospital switchboard, who will direct any calls to the Diabetes Service Nurse on duty.
