NHS Scotland recommends you get your vaccines as soon as they are offered to you.

Those eligible for the Spring COVID-19 vaccine will be contacted by NHS Scotland via letter, email or text message, depending on their selected communication preference throughout the programme, which runs from April 1, 2025, onwards.

You’re eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine this spring if you are:

  • aged 75 years and over
  • in a care home for older adults
  • over the age of 6 months and have a weakened immune system

Please note that those living within the Western Isles that are house-bound or have medical issues which may prevent them from attending their appointment, should contact the local Vaccination Helpline on 0808 196 8383 to book a home appointment.

It’s important to take up the vaccine every time you’re offered. Even if your health condition is well managed, you’re still at increased risk.

Please Note: If you require a Primary Dose of the COVID vaccine, please phone 0808 196 8383 to make an appointment. These will not be available at scheduled drop-in clinics, unless pre-booked.
