Heading 2
Unpaid and young carers are eligible for the flu vaccine
Published on 8 November 2024

NHS Western Isles is encouraging all local unpaid and young carers to get their flu vaccination at one of our vaccination clinics.
The flu virus spreads more easily during the colder months as we spend more time indoors with others. That’s why all unpaid carers and young carers are being offered the flu vaccine this year, to help protect themselves and the people they care for.
Getting the flu vaccine not only provides protection from becoming very unwell with flu, but it also helps to reduce the spread of flu to those most vulnerable to serious illness. That's why unpaid and young carers are being offered the flu vaccine, to help protect themselves and those they care for.
Unpaid and young carers can drop-in to any of our clinics – even appointment clinics, so please do pop in to get your protection from flu this season.
The NHS Western Isles clinic schedule is available at: Vaccination Clinics – NHS Western Isles | Serving the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
