Find out about Living it Up Events in the Western Isles

Living it Up will provide you with better connections to information, products, services and the community to help you manage your health and wellbeing.  These services can be delivered to you through familiar technology like a TV, mobile phone, games console, computer or tablet.

During this first phase of the project, the Living it Up team will recruit 1500 people to act as ‘test users’ in the development of the project’s key services – Hidden Talents, Exchange, My Care and Keeping Connected.

Neurological Voices

Neurological Voices - Western Isles
Empowering people with neurological conditions

Do you have a neurological condition? Do you care for someone who has a neurological condition?  Do you want to help improve health services?

You can make a difference.
The Neurological Voices group are a group of people with different neurological conditions such as  Ataxia, Dystonia, Epilepsy, Huntington’s Disease, ME, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Neuropathies and more.

Neurological Voices are an enthusiastic and friendly group of patients and carers committed to improving neurological health services in the Western Isles. The group is keen to attract new members as they are a newly formed group and want to expand the number of 'voices' being heard.

The group has members from Lewis and Harris who have met a few times at the Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway and there is also a small informal group in Barra. We would like to develop the group in Barra and a support people with neurological conditions in Uist to start their own group.
