Health services and appointments in the Western Isles today

Given the forecasted deterioration in the weather later today, there are changes to the opening hours of a number of GP Practices today:

• Group Practice – open, with Essential Access only after 3pm, practice closed for walk in, however available via telephone for urgent care.
• Langabhat – will close the peripheral sites from 3pm.  This is Borve, Uig, Bernera and Gravir.  Carloway is not open on a Friday.  Leurbost will remain open for emergencies and phones.
• Broadbay – Open
• North Harris – Open
• South Harris – Telephone access to duty doctor in the afternoon
• North Uist – Open
• Benbecula – Open in the morning. Restricted in the afternoon – access only via telephone
• South Uist – Open
• Barra – Restricted in the afternoon – essential access only via telephone.

The majority of NHS Western Isles services and clinics are running as normal, with the exception of vaccination drop-in clinics and the early closure of some non-urgent clinics.
