Car Parking
Parking for disabled people is situated near the hospital entrance. These spaces are free of charge and disabled badge holders may also use any non-disabled parking space.
Wheelchairs
Should you require a wheelchair, these are available at the main hospital entrance.
Speaking Lifts
The hospital lifts are ‘speaking' lifts.
Toilets
Accessible toilets are located within all NHS premises. Not all disabilities are visible and this is recognised in the use of those toilets with a disabled sign.
Minicoms/Hearing Loops
All wards and outpatient areas have mobile Hearing Loops available on request.
Hospital Garden
Western Isles Hospital and Uist & Barra Hospital offer access to outdoor spaces, which are available to patients and their visitors as an alternative to bedside visiting – please ask the Nurse in Charge for details on how to access these.
