Applications are now open for the final IT4Anxiety Hackathon of 2022

Are you passionate about helping others?

Do you have an innovative technological solution that could help reduce anxiety?

Applications are now open for the 5th international IT4Anxiety Hackathon of 2022. Hosted in partnership with NHS Western Isles, the UK Hackathon will take place at the Alexander Graham Bell Centre for Digital Health in Elgin, Moray, Scotland from the 22-23rd June and is open to participants across the UK. We’d particularly welcome applications from Northern Ireland via partner organisation Ulster University.

All participants will benefit from a series of online workshops, which will be delivered by The Lens in advance. These tried and tested workshops have been carefully designed to develop the skills and tools necessary to pitch for investment successfully. Participants will also have the chance to network with key representatives and stakeholders from the Digital and health sector at the Hackathon event.

Up to three winning ideas will be selected to be part of the established IT4Anxiety project. As well as prizes ranging from £500 – £2000, winners will also be given the opportunity to apply to join the IT4Anxiety consortium, which will support the testing of their idea, and receive ongoing support and advice from the NHS Western Isles Research and Innovation team, Ulster University, and Chris Wright, the National Advisor for Digital Mental Health to the Scottish Government.

Applications are now open to:

  • Start-ups and SMEs from the E-Mental health sector or E-Health sector looking to develop their activities in E-Mental health.
  • PhD Students (or students graduating soon) in e.g., medicine, mental health, engineering, entrepreneurship, etc.
  • Mental / health professionals, carers, and people with lived experience of mental health.

Applications close at 12 noon on 30th May 2022. Find out more at one of our activation sessions, or submit your application here: IT4Anxiety Hackathon 2022: Applications Now Open Tickets, Elgin, Scotland | Eventbrite
