Services: Mental Health

The Mental Health Occupational Therapy service provides assessment and treatment using an activity based approach for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties both within the community and in hospital.

The individual and the occupational therapist will identify treatment goals to guide and evaluate occupational therapy interventions.

Occupational therapy interventions are aimed at restoring or enhancing an individual's ability to be independent and exercise choice and control over his or her daily activities.

Occupational therapy treatment can be offered on a 1:1 or group basis, depending upon a person's needs. The occupational therapist works collaboratively with the individual in the areas of self care, leisure and productivity.
