Patient Travel

Diabetes Centre
The Diabetes Centre will be closed on 7th August.For advice: Adults can contact NHS 24 on 111. For Paediatrics please call Yorkhill on 0141 201 0000 and ask for Medical Registrar.

Midwifery, OUaB
On 7th August, all Midwifery related queries for OUAB are to be directed to the Western Isles Maternity Ward on 01851 708301.

Dental Services
Dental Clinics in Stornoway, Harris and Liniclate will be closed on 7th August. For patients in these areas, if you have a dental emergency that cannot wait, please call the emergency helpline on 01851 707500 within clinic hours and NHS 24 out with clinic hours.

GP PRACTICES
South Uist Medical Practice
South Uist Medical Practice will be closed on Monday 7th August.

For medical advice during this time please contact NHS24 on 111 if you think you need A&E, but it’s not a critical emergency. This service will provide you with urgent care where you will be assessed for a range of concerns including cuts, burns, suspected broken bones, sprains and other injuries or illnesses.
Please ensure that you have sufficient medication available to cover this holiday period and allow 2 full working days notice.

In the event of a medical emergency please phone 999.

Tuesday delivery (South) will be on Wednesday 9th August and Thursday delivery (North) will remain on the Thursday.

Group Practice
The Group Practice and Habost Surgery will be closed on Monday 7th August.

Prescription requests can be emailed to the Group Practice: wi.prescriptionsgroup@nhs.scot and these will be dealt with when we re-open.

Langabhat
Langabhat Medical Practice will be open as normal on Monday 7th August.

Broadbay
Broadbay Medical Practice will be open as normal on Monday 7th August.

Barra Medical Practice
BMP will be closed on Monday 7th August.

Claire Whyman Optometrist will be open on Monday 7th August, 9am -5.30pm, as normal but will be closed for lunch between 1pm and 2pm.

Boots will be open on Monday 7th August from 9am – 5.30pm.
