YOUR VOTES WANTED… EXCITEMENT AS LOCAL NHS TEAM IS CONTENDER FOR NATIONAL AWARD!

NHS Western Isles is proud to announce that its Virtual Ward Team (Hospital at Home) has been announced as a contender for the Scottish Health Awards' People's Choice Award, with the team also being featured in today's Daily Record!

The People's Choice Award specifically recognises individuals and teams who have responded so magnificently to the challenge of caring for people over the pandemic, while at the same time maintaining essential services.   The Scottish Health Awards themselves are the most prestigious and recognised awards for those working across NHS Scotland and its partners to deliver high quality health and social care services to the people of Scotland – and for such a small local team to have been announced as a finalist against their larger mainland colleague teams and counterparts, is a massive accomplishment.

Voting is now underway for the People's Choice Award – and NHS Western Isles is urging islanders to support their local Hospital at Home team (Virtual Ward Team category) by either voting online at scottishhealthawards.com or by calling 0141 309 1491 and leaving a voice message of who you would like to win.

Entries received after closing date 16 October at 23:59 will not be counted and the winners will be announced on 3rd November.

Vote today and support your local NHS team!
